Explorer Buses Canberra

Travel to Canberra by Murrays or Greyhound Coach, arriving at approx 12.30pm, and leaving Canberra at 6:00pm. Either company should be able to offer a service leaving Sydney around 9am, which will get you to Canberra at about 12:30pm. Alternatively, you can travel to Canberra by rail on the CountryLink Xplorer service. You will arrive in Canberra around 11:15am and leave again around 5pm¹. Either way, you make these bookings separately.

Once in Canberra, its easy. Join the afternoon Explorer Bus in the City Centre, and explore Canberra until the last service (about 4:30pm). Purchase your Explorer Bus tickets when you join the Explorer Bus.

The Explorer Bus arrives back in city centre around 4:30pm

Both coach services from Sydney arrive in Canberra at the Canberra bus station, known as the Jolimont Centre. It's then a short walk (one block south) to the Explorer Bus city stop, outside the Students Flights office, Platform 11, Melbourne Building, 59 Northbourne Avenue, Canberra City.

The Xplorer train arrives and departs from the Canberra Railway Station in the Canberra Suburb of Kingston. Options for joining the Explorer Bus at the Students Flights office in Civic, include Action Bus (Route 80) or Taxi.

¹ Note, that the evening service does not operate on all days of the week.
