Greyhound has a daytime service departing Melbourne around 7am and arriving in Canberra 4pm or an overnight service departing Melbourne around 8pm and arriving in Canberra at 4am.

Coach / Rail

V/Line provides a daily daytime service via a combination of rail and coach. The timetable varies depending on the day of the week.

Fly

Melbourne to Canberra is a flight of a little over one hour. Many airlines fly between Melbourne and Canberra many times per day. Airlines include: VirginBlue, Qantas, and Tiger Airways.

In Canberra

Once in Canberra, its easy. Join the Explorer Bus in the City Centre, and explore Canberra. The Explorer Bus city stop is outside the Student Flights office, Platform 11, Melbourne Building, 59 Northbourne Avenue, Canberra City. However, you may find the Explorer bus can collect you from your accommodation - see Hotel & Motel Pickups. Purchase your Explorer Bus tickets when you join the Explorer Bus.
